Elsta Sp. z o.o. was founded in 1988 as a company specializing in electrical assembly and measurement works. Initially, it mainly served the mining sector, but over time it expanded its offer to include projects in the field of industrial automation, design and production of electrical devices. In 2002, it was transformed into a limited liability company and began implementing large projects, such as comprehensive electrical installation works in the energy sector. Currently, the company operates on the international market, offering advanced solutions in the field of electrical and industrial automation, including low and medium voltage switchboards, container stations and energy storage for various industries.

On August 1, 1988, Jacek Stankiewicz established the Department of Measurements and Execution of Electrical Installations

Tax Office
– How dare you rob the homeland and create a private initiative, when the state paid for your engineering education?! What do you want to do now, erect some pillars instead of building a people’s homeland…?! – these are the words that President Jacek Stankiewicz heard from a clerk during the first registration of the company in the Tax Office.

Company logo and name
The inspiration for the company name was… the series “Czterdziestolatek”, in which the Stefbud company operated. Elsta is nothing more than a combination of two words “elektryka” and “Stankiewicz”. The logo, in turn, was designed by the President’s wife, Mrs. Małgorzata Stankiewicz.
SEPTEMBER 1988
First orders and a suitcase of money
Elsta carried out her first design and construction work for a cosmetics factory in Krakow. She received her remuneration for her work from the company’s representative at the time, who had a habit of coming to his clients equipped with a firearm for protection and a suitcase of money handcuffed to his hand.
NOVEMBER 1988
First measuring devices
The company buys its first equipment for performing electrical measurements from the Bochnia mine and the Electrical Equipment Assembly Company in Katowice.
1992

First product
The first mass-produced device was the thyristor control system for underground electric mine locomotives TUSDELK, which is used to control the drive of traction locomotives operating in hard coal and ore mines.
JUNE 1992
Start of production
The Electrical Installations Measurement and Execution Plant is transformed into the Elsta Electrical Equipment Plant. Production of the first power electronics and electronic devices for mining begins.
