EMS System

The system consists of a control cabinet equipped with a server, an RTU controller, and/or a PLC, and other components necessary for reliable communication with monitored facilities. The components used are sourced from renowned manufacturers such as Siemens, Moxa, etc. The SCADA visualization software is based on the Zenon system from CopaData, which successfully operates in hundreds of applications at Polish transmission and distribution system operators. The entire network structure is built with cybersecurity in mind, particularly based on IEC 62443-2-1. The dedicated OT network does not have internet access.

The EMS system is designed to work with aggregators and balancing service providers. After the contracting authority signs the relevant agreements and equips the EMS system with the necessary communication infrastructure for individual service users, the energy generation and storage installation monitored by the EMS system can be used to provide services on the capacity and/or balancing markets.

The EMS system can also act as a data concentrator for the OSD operator’s telemechanics system.

Thanks to modern technologies, Elsta energy storages are fully scalable, which allows for flexible adjustment of power and output energy to changing needs.
